Best Lightweight Single Stroller

kinderkraft-grande-plus-stroller-pushchair-for-toddlers-from-birth-to-22-kg-extra-large-hood-lie-flat-position-folding-with-one-hand-shock-absorption-on-all-wheels-gray-33.jpgThis is the lightest and most compact stroller for travel available. Its sleek design makes it easy to fold into a stylish rectangle shape, and the wheels are much easier to turn than others.

The stroller also comes with an enormous storage area underneath the seat and a shoulder strap to make it easier to transport when you're not pushing it. However, the canopy adjustment can make lots of noise which might disturb a sleeping toddler.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller The Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its tiny size. Its back under-seat basket is spring loaded, which means you can pull it down to put a diaper bag or backpack in and it will pop up to secure the contents. It also has a child's accessory holder as well as an adjustable reclined seat pad. This is more than what you get on a standard lightweight stroller.

It also has a canopy that can be shut and opened to achieve the level of sun protection you need. The handlebars are adjustable in height for a comfortable fit in four different positions. We weren't too impressed with the quality of its ride over rough surfaces. We felt that the suspension and wheels didn't perform a great job of absorbing shocks and bumps.

The stroller is great for traveling because it comes fully assembled in the box. It requires only just a few steps to make it ready for use. The seat can be pushed forward and back to adjust the recline. It's quite flat. Two buttons on the frame make it easy to fold and unfold. It also fits in a convenient carrying bag for when it's not being used. It's actually one of the most compact strollers we tested, and it fulfills the requirements of most airlines for gate-checking or cabin storage, on airplanes. Contact your airline to see what restrictions are in place before you travel. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus

This is a great option to those looking for a stroller that is lightweight. It comes with all the features parents look for in a stroller. This includes all-terrain tires and front suspension for smooth riding. It is also incredibly lightweight, at less than 12 pounds. It folds with one hand and stands up on its own. It has two cups holders on each tray to accommodate the child and parent.

Its build quality isn't very good, and it didn't do well in our test of maneuverability. It has a flexible frame, which makes pushing it on rough surfaces feel like lifting heavy weights. It may be fine if you only use the stroller on paved sidewalks. However, for the majority of people, it's not a good choice.

Cloud Plus Cloud Plus has a three-tier extended canopy as well as a peek-a-boo window for additional sun protection. Its multi-position seat can be used by children up to 50 pound and features a 5-point safety restraint system. This is a fantastic feature for older toddlers who have outgrown their infant car seats.

It's small and folds up in a single step. It can be folded by pressing a button. It also has a convenient, foot-activated break that is simple to set up and release.

The handle is lower than the majority of the strollers we have tested and some parents may be uncomfortable using it for long periods. The handle is secured in position when it's opened. This is a great feature to have if you are planning to use the stroller on uneven or muddy terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow is the ultimate travel stroller for parents who are on the move. This ultra-compact stroller folds up and down easily and fits into the overhead compartments of planes or trunks at amusement parks (no need to worry about parking charges). It also comes with an easy-zip carrying bag for easy storage. It can be used right from birth with the infant car seat adapter and offers a good amount of shade thanks to its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only downside for certain parents is that they consider the style to be dated and unfashionable.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other lightweight single strollers, but it was designed specifically for luxurious travel and urban living. It is one of the strollers that fold easily and comes with a handy carry case. It has plenty of storage space as well as a cupholder. The seat reclines to almost flat for both children and adult. This is the only stroller on our list that has an adapter for car seats that can allow it to be used with babies. Some short parents may not appreciate the handlebar that does not adjust.

baby-jogger-summit-x3-all-terrain-jogging-pushchair-foldable-3-wheel-exercise-stroller-midnight-black-1037.jpgThe UPPAbaby Minu V2 isn't the lightest stroller on our list, but it has many wonderful features that help kids travel more easily. The large seat reclines to a flat position and has additional padding to make those airplane naps more comfortable. The canopy that can be extended has lots of sun-shade and the tray on the front provides plenty of storage. It also comes with an adjustable handle that doubles as a footrest when folded. This footrest is vulnerable to damage from baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Mini V2

The Uppababy Minu V2 is a high-end stroller that doesn't compromise on design or quality. Its compact single stroller size makes it easy to maneuver narrow sidewalks and tight spaces, but its sturdy construction means it can handle rough terrain without compromising your child's comfort. The spring-action suspension in the front and rear creates an even more comfortable ride and its durable materials ensure it can stand up to the wear and tear of everyday use. It can also be extended to accommodate other accessories like an infant car seat.

In our testing during our testing, the Minu was a breeze to maneuver and fold even with a baby in hand. Its squat, almost square fold, that folds into thirds, is one of the most simple folds we've seen and allows it to be tucked away in overhead compartments of planes or public transportation. It also has a color-coded single-action brake that is simple to use.

The seat reclines in multiple positions and the leg rest can be adjusted with one hand, making it simple to find your child's perfect position. The UPF 50+ canopy is lowered quite a bit to protect Cora's face from sun. The medium-sized mesh peekaboo window is magnetically attached to the canopy, and it closes without the need for noisy Velcro.

With a weight of less than 15 pounds at just under 15 pounds, the Minu is light enough to carry with a built-in carry handle and shoulder strap. It can also be put in the trunk of your vehicle, and it comes with a storage bag and access to the Uppababy TravelSafe program which adds two years onto the manufacturer's warranty. It also covers repairs for any items damaged in the course of air travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy is a well-known stroller brand that makes various models. This stroller is light and an excellent choice for parents who are looking for a sturdy stroller to take their children. It is easy to maneuver, comes with plenty of storage space, and is not difficult to fold. This model isn't suitable for those who need an extra stroller or a car-seat compatible model. It does not accept infant car seats. Your children must be able sit up on their backs before they can use it.

This stroller is loaded with features and is available at a reasonable price. It scored higher in our maneuverability test than other strollers with similar specs. It's also a great option for smooth surfaces. It also has a lovely canopy and plenty of storage including a large tray for parents. The front wheel suspension is stiff and the handlebar is a bit smaller than the norm, but it provides a comfortable ride for adults.

If you have twins or two kids of different ages, you may discover that a stroller with a side-byside feature is the best single buggy way to get them around. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove, which offers plenty of features and a narrow footprint that can be used into places that other side-byside options can't.

It features reclining seats that are individually adjustable and a huge canopy with an opening window that can be seen from afar and lots of storage. It's heavier than other side-bysides but has a decent weight limit and can handle the majority of children up to 50 pounds. You can even add a bassinet to the front of the stroller to accommodate infants.

If you want a more luxurious version of this stroller the Caboose RS Sit and Stand Stroller is a worthy alternative. It has the same great features and can be outfitted with a bassinet so that you can take your baby home in style from the hospital.
